This hand-made bracelet features large, freshwater pearls and sterling silver components.  The Pearl acquired its name from the ancient Romans, who wore elongated pearls as ear pendants called pirla, a slang term for pira (“pear”) from the tear-shaped pearls.  Pearls symbolize love, success and happiness.  The charm is the Chinese character for “happiness”.  All joining parts are soldered, filed, and polished.
